Company History

SampleNinja was founded and driven by two industry experts with 40+ years of combined experience in the MR technology space who have previously built and delivered best in class survey and panel management software. This duo has working together since 2010 to make market research better for everyone.

They put their heads together and decided revolutionize how people work in the Panel Management sector of the industry using the latest cloud technologies for unparallel speed, security and scalability.

Tariq Mirza


He is based in London and has worked as a specialist in Market Research technology since 1993 where he started as a graduate trainee for Quantime (eventually SPSS, IBM).  He is held senior roles within the industry for over 20 years such as MD of Voxco UK, MD of Nebu UK, UK representative for Intellex Dynamic Reporting and most recently MD EMEA for Kinesis Survey Technologies until their acquisition.

Tariq is notably passionate about everything he does, including cooking (He often cooks Charity Curries for the MRBA in the UK).  Can often be seen dabbling in salsa dancing, golf and swimming.

Juha Vehnia


A native of Finland, Juha came to Austin for an internship at the University of Texas in 1998 and decided to stay after being offered a full-time role at Center for Research in Electronic Commerce.

He later went on to co-founders of Kinesis Survey Technologies in 2003 as CTO and ran and grew that organisation before it was acquired by FocusVision in 2016 as best-in-class Panel Management software.  

In his spare time, speed is the name of the game for Juha:  be it racing bikes; snowboarding, fast cars on the Circuit of Americas or boats on Lake Travis. Fortunately for SampleNinja, Juha has transferred his passion and mindset for speed and slickness into the technology he develops.
